TRANSNATIONAL PROJECT MEETING – POLAND

The purpose of the meeting was setting up a schedule of project activities as well as  the dates of international meetings and dates of activities related to learning, teaching and training, determining the allocation of project tasks. The main topics of the meeting were a schedule of project tasks, a definition of communication rules between partner countries and coordinating school. The point of it would be to facilitate interpersonal relations  known as welcome packages such as tourist guides written in English, driving timetables from and to the places of accommodation,  tourist guides of Gdansk written in English, optional trips, language guides, specialties of regional cuisine. Those would aim to promote municipiality Kobylnica in Europe as well as project Erasmus itself. The coordinator took care of the partners' convenience by offering them a daily bus transfer from the hotel to the school. Guests had an opportunity - that was not previously included in the plan of the visit - to attend  the Teacher's Day's academy where the aims and the possible results of the project were presented to local authorities and school society. The visit was reported by the Slupsk's Channel 6 and by the local press - Glos Pomorza & Kurier Sołecki. Guests were invited to a gala dinner in a historical place associated with Slupsk culture. In addition, participants had an opportunity to visit the wastewater treatment plant, this was quite convenient as it relates to the main subject of the project. On the spot they watched a film about the purification of water resources, the importance of water in ecological environment. The guests were also offered a trip to Ustka and visiting the St Jack's church located in Slupsk, were the organ's concert was performed. In order to share and develop good practices and exchange them among diverse teachers, there were demonstration lessons for guests prepared by English and German teachers (difficult and complex situation of refugees, which is inscribed in the theme of the project) and chemistry (quality of water's research) , early school education (about European integration). After classes, the teachers exchanged their opinions, had discussion about used teaching methods . Partners from different countries presented their techniques and lessons and suggested how to increase the level of teaching and improve  teachers' and school's work. It was decided that similar lessons should be carried out during next meetings. The main goals of the international meetings are to promote the project, plan the activities and make sure that the high expectations of the project are common and understandable by all partner countries. Schools got a set of tasks  with the dates of their implementation that should be fulfilled. We made the necessary changes and updated the schedule, concerning international  meetings. We worked on the division of duties and responsibilities in each section. Portugal - management of a website, training of leaders and metacognition. Romania - training in the methodology of water testing and multicultural school communities. Greece - meeting in the middle of the project, analysis and the existence of children's rights, the theme of war and conflicts through theater and poetry. Lithuania - analysis and verification of children's rights and  theme of war and conflicts in art. Turkey - interviews of children with their grandparents for better understanding how conflict and war can affect everyday life especially children lives. Bulgaria - official ending of the project, photo competition and exhibition of artworks about peace. Poland and Romania were responsible for final project's evaluation. Poland has opened an open channels of communication in order to promote dialogue between schools and maintain the rules of progress in the event of conflicts. We created a closed project account on etwinning, Gmail account for posting  documents of vital importance, easily accessible to everyone. The Whatsup was the easiest and the most common mean of communication between project's partners. During the  meeting there were noticed inconsistencies as  the number of participants planned for the trip to Bulgaria and mentioned in the applying form, and the number of people in terms of money that were granted. The problem was discussed and solved. The participants proposed shifting some of the participants in the Netherlands, thanks to that it was possible to place themselves in guaranteed amount of money. In September 2017, a questionnaire was created on the subject of children's rights, the approach to immigrants and refugees, common values, water extraction, and multi-cultural school communities. This document was sent in electronic form to partner countries with a request to carry out the surveys at home schools. The survey was addressed to students, teachers, parents and the local community. After it was carried out, the results were analyzed and then they were posted on the partner schools' websites
