TRANSNATIONAL PROJECT MEETING – POLAND

The purpose of the meeting: setting up a schedule of project activities – the dates of international meetings and dates of activities related to learning, teaching and training, determining the allocation of project tasks. The main topics of the meeting: a schedule of project tasks, a definition of communication rules between partner countries and coordinating school. The point of it would be to facilitate interpersonal relations  known as welcome packages such as tourist guides written in English, driving timetables from and to the places of accommodation,  tourist guides of Gdansk written in English, optional trips, language guides, specialties of regional cuisine. Those would aim to promote Kobylnica in Europe as well as project Erasmus itself. The coordinator took care of the partners' convenience by offering them a daily bus transfer from the hotel to the school. Guests had an opportunity - that was not previously included in the plan of the visit - to attend  DEN academy where the paper was presented on the objectives and tasks resulting from the project. The visit was reported by the Slupsk Channel 6 and by the local press - Glos Pomorza & Kurier Sołecki. Guests were invited to a gala dinner in a historical place associated with Slupsk culture. In addition, participants had an opportunity to visit the wastewater treatment plant, this was quite convenient as it connects to the subject of the project. On the spot they watched a film about the purification of water resources, the importance of water in ecological environment. In addition, a trip to Ustka and visiting the St Jack church located in Slupsk were offered, in which the organ concert was performed. In order to share and develop good practices, exchange them among diverse teachers, there were demonstration lessons for guests from abroad prepared by English and German teachers (topic: difficult and complex situation of refugees, which is inscribed in the theme of the project) and chemistry (quality testing of water), early school education (on the theme of European integration). After classes, the teachers exchanged insights and exchanged comments. The teachers’ methods of work were discussed. Partners from different countries presented their techniques and lessons and suggested how to raise the level of teachers work and school work. It was decided that similar lessons should be carried out during subsequent meetings. The main goal of the international meetings is to promote the project, plan the activities and make sure that the high expectations of the project are common and understandable by the partner countries. Schools got a set of tasks to be done along with the dates of their implementation. We made the necessary changes and updated to the schedule, in particular concerning international  meetings. We worked on the division of responsibilities in each section. Portugal - management of a website, training of leaders, metacognition. Romania - training in the methodology of water testing, multicultural school communities. Greece - meeting in the middle of the project, analysis and the existence of children's rights, the theme of war and conflicts through theater and poetry. Lithuania - analysis and verification of children's rights, theme of war and conflicts in art. Turkey - interviews of children with their grandparents in order to better understand how conflict and war can affect everyday life, children life in particular. Bulgaria - official ending of the project, photo competition and exhibition of artworks about peace. Poland and Romania - final project evaluation. Poland has opened an open channels of communication in order to promote dialogue between schools and maintain the rules of progress in the event of conflicts. We created a closed project account on etwinning, Gmail account for posting key documents, easily accessible to everyone. The Whatsup was the easiest and the most common means of communication between its partners. During the working meeting there were noticed inconsistencies as to the number of participants participating in the trip to Bulgaria, from the form, and the number of persons on whom the allocation of financial resources was indicated. The problem was discussed and the general accepted position was established. The participants proposed shifting some of the participants in the Netherlands, thanks to which it was possible to place themselves in guaranteed means. In September 2017, a questionnaire was created on the subject of children's rights, the approach to immigrants and refugees, common values, water extraction, and multi-cultural school communities. This document was sent in electronic form to partner countries with a request to carry out surveys at home schools. The survey was addressed to students, teachers, parents and the local community. After it was carried out, the results were analyzed and then they were posted on the partner schools' websites at a given date.
