Where is Portugal located?

Portugal is located in southwestern Europe.

Portugal is part of the European Union and has 2 archipelagos,

archipelago of Azores and archipelago of Madeira.

Portugal has about 10 million inhabitants and its capital is Lisbon.

The president of Portugal is Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa.

In the past Portugal conquered part of the world, for example, America–Brazil, Africa Angola, Mozambique, Guiné and expanded by Europe the sea route to India (Goa, Damo and Dio) .

Belém  Tower

The Belém Tower is located in Lisbon. This tower was

built from 1514 to  1520,  for  the defense of the bar

of the Tejo river.

Clérigos  Tower

The Clérigos Tower is located in  Porto,  our city. This tower was

built from 1732   to 1763.

​

Lagoa das Sete Cidades

The Lagoon of Seven Cities is a lagoon located on the island of São Miguel, Azores.

Gastronomy
